For this project, we were asked to create a series of videos about women in sports. The theme was very broad, so my teammate and I decided to focus on the regulation of athleticism and the challenges many women have faced because they were not considered feminine enough by institutions or the public. In particular, we addressed women with slightly higher testosterone levels and the constant changes in rules that often lead to their exclusion from competitions. Many of these women were also not white, which raises important questions about racism.

For this exercise, we had a visual constraint: everything had to be recorded in a studio. Since we were creating a journalistic project, we decided to use paper to reinforce the idea of a journalistic format. This choice also strongly supports the project and emphasizes the power of the stories being told.
